Integrations - How OGVI Connects to Your Systems
The principle: API or no API
Most "integrates with everything" claims carry an asterisk: everything with a
modern API. OGVI's does not. OGVI connects to every system a business runs
on, including software written before APIs existed. If a system has an API,
OGVI uses it. If it has a database, OGVI reads it. If it has neither, only
screens a person clicks through, OGVI operates those screens the way a person
would, reliably, at scale, with graceful escalation to humans when judgment is
needed.
No system gets to say no.
Four integration modes, all proven in production
1. API integration. Modern platforms such as e-commerce systems connect
directly: orders, customers, products, inventory, flowing continuously.
2. Live database connection. Where the ERP's database is reachable, OGVI
connects through a lightweight agent and asks questions against the live
system, with answers verified to the source, down to the dollar.
3. Synced data warehouse. For heavy analytical workloads, OGVI maintains
a continuously synchronized replica of the ERP's data, millions of rows,
hundreds of tables, so deep analysis never slows the production system.
The ERP feels nothing.
4. Screen-level operation. For systems with no API and no accessible
database, OGVI drives the actual application: reading screens, filling forms,
completing multi-step workflows end to end. This is how OGVI runs container
receiving today on a 1990s-era ERP that no integration vendor will touch.
Most deployments combine modes. The buyer does not need to know which mode
answered the question. One interface, every source.
Named systems
OGVI works with the ERP you have. Deployments and integration work to date
span systems including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics (GP and 365), Oracle NetSuite,
Sage, Epicor, Infor, Acumatica, and a long tail of niche and vertical ERPs,
plus e-commerce platforms, CRMs, warehouse and manufacturing systems, and
document stores. If your system is not on any list you have ever seen, that
is normal for our customers, and it is exactly the case OGVI was built for.
Legacy environments are first-class citizens: character-terminal systems,
AS/400 and IBM i applications, desktop ERPs from the 1990s and 2000s, custom
software whose author retired. The value locked in those systems is real.
OGVI gets it out without asking you to replace them.
What OGVI builds during onboarding
OGVI teaches itself your environment: what your systems contain, how your
company's vocabulary maps onto them, which numbers matter and how they must
be computed to be true. Onboarding produces knowledge about your company,
not a pile of custom code, which is why deployments measure in weeks and why
each one makes the engine better at learning the next company.
Your ERP is not modified. Nothing is migrated. Nothing is ripped out. The
day OGVI goes live, your systems are exactly as they were, and your people
have one interface over all of them.
One graph over all systems
Beyond connecting systems individually, OGVI resolves them onto one business
graph: the same real customer, order, item, and production record recognized
across every system that holds a piece of it. That is how "what is going on
with this customer" gets answered across finance, sales, and the shop floor
as one coherent story no single system can tell.
Integration security
Each customer's data lives in its own isolated database, with hard walls
between organizations enforced by architecture and adversarially tested.
Connections are read-only wherever the work allows. Where OGVI writes to a
system, purchase orders, receiving, documents, writes are deliberate, logged,
and designed to be safely repeatable, with human confirmation gates on
consequential actions. Your systems remain yours, and remain untouched
except where you have asked OGVI to act.
